Welcome!

Minna-san, konnichiwa! Philip Seyfi desu.

I like to call myself a “New Media Developer & Designer“, probably because nobody understands what it means, but basically I’m just an ordinary guy who knows his way around computers. What does it have to do with Japan? The short answer is—I love 日本 and everything related to it and I decided to write about it.

The longer answer is—I want to study in Japan (most probably game development or robotics at HAL College of Technology & Design). It’s been 2-3 years since I’ve developed my last game and, using my study plans as an excuse, I started the development of a new Japanese educational game called Nihongoup. At first, it was meant to be just a game development and Japanese exercise, but the whole project actually grew into a cool shareware game/reviewing tool. Afterwards I thought of starting a simple blog—or even tumblelog—to inform about game updates and, well, it too somehow grew into something bigger.

What am I planning to write about? Although I may seem to have a rather technological background, I plan to write about pretty much everything related to Japan whether it be language, culture, cookery or something entirely different like that tourist who was caught naked in Tokyo’s Imperial Palace moat.

By the way… Feel free to check out my Portfolio and follow me on Twitter ;)
